What kind of wood is this?

Maybe persimmon. The bark looks very similar to our persimmons.

There is not much weight to these cutoffs, feels kind of soft when hitting it with a plane.

Looks like sweetgum to me too, with the reddish color under the bark.

No odor when I cut on bandsaw or plane it
