When going from dry to wet, I highly recommend removing the bag and filter from your Shop Vac before sucking water.....

Who'd thunk it? :dontknow:

I decided to try to suck water out of my engine block through the opened thermostat housing. Which worked surprisingly well btw.

Worked even better after I removed the filter/bag.

If you had sucked the water out while it was still hot, the filter would have dissolved and you wouldn't gotten your hands dirty...uhh..muddy.

Fellow employee sucked up some 'water' from a stopped up sewer overflow one time. Forgot to take off the filter & put it in storage after emptying the 'water'. 2 years later when I got out the vac I had to throw it away for fear of violating the Prime Directive. :wink_smil
