Some neat ideas for you G&G fans. Unfortunately, some of his creations are beyond the WAF (Wife Acceptance Factor) credits I have saved up w/Mary Ann.:wsmile:

Some beautiful work, but overall, I find it overwhelming to see everything in the G&G style. I may use something similar to the shelf design at the 3:55 point for a commissioned project I am working on using Wormy Chestnut...

I am about as huge of a G&G fan as there is. But I find that too much. G&G designed rooms around specific design features like the cloud lift, tsuba, or exposed box joinery. They didn't just throw all their elements together.
That said there is some very fine work shown in the vid.
The level of complexity and detail in G&G's designs is what really draws me to it. Every surface has a purpose and is apart of the whole project. It is much more difficult to leave something proud of it's adjoining surface and still get a good finish.

Very detailed and very in depth. I tend to agree with Dave, it seems over the top.

The negative is that I did not realize there was that much woodworking stuff on Youtube. I spent an hour or more last night looking through videos people had posted.
