Being a man of (quite a) few words, let me just say Happy Thanksgiving Day to you Dirk, and to our entire NCWW family. One of my greatest blessings, right after being an American, is my NCWW family! To each and everyone of you and yours, I want to extend Thanksgiving blessings to all of you! On this Thanksgiving Day, set aside to give thanks to our Creator for everything we've been blessed with, some of the blessings that are near the top of the list are, being an American, and being a woodworker and being a part of NC WOODWORKER.NET!

I didn't know there would be so many dirty pots and pans to make dressing and gravy. All I cooked was the turkey, and it was the simplest thing to do:
1. Unwrap the thawed bird.
2. Place in the roasting pan and cover up.
3. Place in the oven at 260 degrees.
4. Go to bed.

For gravy & dressing, LOML:
1. Cooked 3 pans of cornbread.
2. Chopped (with my help) an onion and celery.
3. Cooked chicken livers.
4. Boiled eggs.
5. Then mixed the dressing and baked it.

All the while I think we used every mixing bowl we had at least twice. I loaded and unloaded the dishwasher 4 times today and still have pots waiting.
All told, a completely enjoyable day.
And BTW, it was her birthday today....65 and going strong.......
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
