Trying to Date Vanity

Bought her flowers and everything...

All kidding aside, my brother's neighbor passed away and he came to own this vanity. He's trying to determine the approximate age of the piece. There are no identifying marks/stamps. The only thing I suggested to determine an approximate age was to check if the screws were handmade, without points (pre-1846). Alas, all the screws he examined appear to be machine-made, with points. My best guess is that this is a one-off vanity a very skilled craftsman/hobbyist built at some point in the 20th century. Not sure if it's important, but the neighbor worked for the CIA and had lived abroad at some point. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Apologies for the excessive amount of photos.

The drawer photos (1030 & 1031) clearly show wood from the white oak family but the other drawer sides and backs appear to be made of a more diffuse porous wood.
Maybe that detail will help define an age.

If I were just WAG it (wild#ssguess) from what I have seen when living abroad it looks like something Italian 1730-1780'ish. I am assuming it is not some copy as it appears to be authentic. You should see who locally can look it over. I would call the one of the local Museums they are likely to know who to call.

I'm going to guess that it's French, late 19th century. That was a period when many French business owners moved into the upper class, built elaborate chateaus, and furnished them in reproductions of the Louis XV style.

Thanks for the responses and input, everyone. He’s going to contact a museum local to him and go from there. I’ll post an update once he obtains more info about the piece.
