Triton TRA001 vs Triton MOF001 Router

Do I need the higher powered router?

I am going to dedicate it to the router table and this is a hobby. I will use it on both hard and soft woods with light to medium use. Thoughts?

I have the tra 001. I'd opt for the 3 1/4 hp in a table as you are more apt to perform more aggressive profiling.

I'll second the TRA001 in a table, that's what I have. It is strong and easy to adjust.

TRA001 is your best bet in a table. Small projects or cabinet doors....it will handle either

I'm using the larger Triton in my table. Switched from a 2.25 to the 3.25 when I was making raised panels. It's a very good, easy to use router for use in a table application.

Have two router tables, one with the 2.25 and the other with the 3.5. Love both. The 2.25 has done everything I put to it. So quiet with the shopvac running that I have to remember to double check it off. Love above table adjustment built into the case.
