Tearing down an old barn on the farm

I am finding poplar and pine. about 100 years old. I have the pine sold. does anyone have any suggestions re. poplar? I plan to store it and use it for upcomming projects (with my new Rigid TS). I am learning about WW so all help is appreciated.

If you're going to use it yourself, I'd look into obtaining a good metal detector.

Agree with Sweetgum on the metal detector. It is a requirement not an option. My thoughts are to just stack it with good base support and keep it out of the weather. Before you use the wood you need to let it acclimate in your shop for about a week to equalize and balance moisture content.
