To prove it actually happened. Here's some pictures my wife took on Saturday. The event wraps up today (Sunday) in Danbury, NC.

In addition to light sabers we made some bird houses.

it was a beautiful day, meeting and working with such wonderful people at this event. Many thanks to Barry and Dirk for their efforts in the outreach program. To Mike, Donn, Chuck, and Berta, (i don't think I forgot anybody, if I did, please overlook my forgetfulness!) thank you for your time spent there Sunday. I had a great time working with the kids that wanted to turn their own light sabers!

It was a very good day (Sunday) to be with the good people of Stokes County and fellow NC Woodworkers. Made new friends and became reacquainted with old friends...overall, a very good day!

It was nice to bring the family out and spend a few minutes with the group. Mike helped my 4 year old make a saber that he now wont let leave his hand. I can image many other kids were just as appreciative.

Thanks to all!

It was great getting to learn how to tune on a lathe and then help out a few kids before I had to leave. Wish I could've stayed all day Sat. I'll try and post some pics when I get a chance

We were fortunate this year to have great weather at the Stokes Stomp, We also had a very good turn-out at the NCWW area with some kids from last year returning. Also, kudos to the NCWW volunteers who helped with this outreach event, especially to those who were at an outreach event for the first time. The dedication and hard work of NCWW volunteers always amazes me!:notworthy:
