My son is working on buying his first house and he lives in Seattle, so light jackets and hoodies are a daily occurrence. This is a flat board, bookmatched spalted maple, with natural edges on the top. Height is 20 inches, width is 9 in. It will mount flat on the wall near a front entrance. The big knobs on the bottom are for coats (from the side, they look like doorknobs) and there are two little turned pegs about 1/2 way up for hanging key chains.

WOW! That is really a unique piece of work.

Almost looks like porcelain or marble. Awesome grain patterns.

The finish is Minwax Tung oil. (more Min than Tung). Several coats, then lightly buffed with a white scrubby pad to give a little more smoothness. It is sanded to a 2000 grit level.

That is an awesome piece of wood and nicely transformed into the coat and key rack. Well done.
