Never cut any, it sounds like a baby tree, only grows up to 12" diameter. On a straight trunk, 8' 6" long with no taper and 12" on the little end, your looking at a maximum of 8" wide boards. If you were to cut them 4/4 you looking at 6, maybe 7 usable boards (32 ~ 37 BF). At least two, maybe three of the boards will be riddled with pith and ain't no good for nothing but the fireplace. I don't know of any sawyer who cuts logs under 12" diameter (on the small end), not unless you got a bunch of them and your paying a special price.
