SOLD-FS: 1946 Tannewitz Model U 16” table saw w/ original accessories - Boone, NC

Tannewitz Model U table saw in good running condition with all original parts and accessories. Only thing not present is a dado arbor. Has been in use in my 1 person furniture shop for the last 2 1/2 years.

5 HP, 220/440V, 3 phase Woods motor, currently wired and running 220V

1” arbor

Machine serial #9304 with (2) miter gauges, miter slot bar, rack and pinion fence, and blade insert - all matching 9304 which is ~1946 according to my research.

16” blade saw with 4” depth of cut but will take up to 20” blade, though 16” is the largest that will retract fully below table

Top dimensions - 37” wide, 43” deep, 35” tall - bolt on fence extension sticks out another ~16”

Blade raises, lowers and tilts very smoothly
Such a smooth, precise and powerful saw with an amazing fence, but I just don’t find myself using it as steadily in my workflow as a furniture maker as I’d like and really want a 2nd shaper setup for tenoning.

Located just outside of Boone, NC in my walkout basement shop. I will help you move it out of the shop one way or the other. It’s a heavy saw and the shop is small but there are ways to make it happen.

$2200 OBO and/or very open to possible trade for/towards a large Euro, 1 1/4” shaper - preferably titling spindle, and very interested in sliding table/bolt on sliding tables for big tenoning work. Let me know what you may have and we can talk details.
