Couple of my friends came down yesterday and we got my kiln framed up. I had built the end and front walls and the floor system as "units" so we picked up the entire mess with my tractor and moved it out to the site.

Got her situated in a "southerly" direction, and proceeded to raise the walls and attach them to each other. Then built the back wall with door header and cut the roof rafter system.

It's starting to look like a kiln! One of my neighbors asked Mary today what that strange looking building out by the garden is going to be!

If I can figure out how to do it, here's some photo's made today.

The first load will probably be some 6/4 cypress that Ivey is sawing for us soon. May air dry it for a few weeks until I have attended the VT school.

Yes, Ivey, I promise to take good care of that wood!!

Ray, it's designed for 800-1000 bf per load, depending on species. We'll probably keep it 800 bf and under. Thanks for looking.
