Small Wooden Boxes

China Woody

Some nice CNC work you guys have been coming up with.
I have been experimenting with fancy woods, images and shapes as well. One of my favorites is a series of boxes I made for my sister to sell in her booth at the Indiana Renaissance Faire. I call them "Hexadecagon in Padauk." They offer different images on the lids (shields, crests, horses, griffons - stuff that Renn Faire folks like,) and different numbers of compartments inside -- 2, 3 or 4. I sent her 10 boxes to sell, and was a little worried that my vision of what is beautiful, valuable and useful might be different from someone else's. But she wrote back that all 10 boxes had sold, for $35 each, within the first 2 hours of the show. So, OK then. The Faire was Covid-cancelled in 2021, but I will probably try to make her some more stuff for next year. I'm currently working with an X-Carve 750 machine, doing the design using V-Carve, and sending the G-Code to the machine using Universal G-Code Sender.
