After a long time out of the shop and then only doing some small stuff I got started on this walnut slant top desk back in the fall and just now finished it. The finish is BLO, shellac and wax. it will go to the local schools fund raising auction. It is from a drawing by the New Yankee Workshop

Very nice. I particularly like the many cubby holes inside.

I gotta ask - are there any secret compartments?

Larry, is lucky to have you
"the local schools fund raising auction" is lucky to have you.

If I remember correctly you have done other REALLY nice pieces in the past and donated them for the auction.
I think it is great that you are not jsut talking about helping education, but doing something about it!

Larry, the school should publicize the auction and feature your desk. They should be able to receive a sizable bid on that desk. It's really beautiful.
