Shop help?

I would like to exchange woodwork training for some help around the shop.
I'm in Walnut Cove, NC. My shop is in my basement garage. PM to discuss.

Edit to add...

I need to clean out and rearrange my whole shop area and the outdoor wood storage.
It has gotten to be more than I can do.

This needs to be done over a period of weeks or months. It is too much to be done all at once and it is an ongoing proposition.

Lots of moving, stacking, culling lumber and tools, cleaning, and rearranging what's left. I have run out of room to work and have lot's of stuff I don't need and some that most people wouldn't want.

I can teach turning spindles and bowls, hand tool work, design and layout, sharpening, machine maintenance & repair, etc. There will be tools and lumber in the offer.

I'd offer to do this, Mike, but I have no idea when I would be able to get out there. It probably wouldn't be until the new year. Im sure you have projects you need to do for Christmas.

I'm able to help & willing :) Though I'm some distance away coming from chapel hill. Let me know if the opportunities have been filled already--though I'm pretty keen on hand work and pretty much anything for practice/beginning.

Looks like I'm a solid 3 hour drive from you and with my recently mutilated finger I'd be more in the way than useful. However in a month or so when I can use my finger without screaming if you still need help I'd be glad to get up early and make the drive especially since you recently offered to help me learn to do some dovetail work. I would want to get your work done first and work on my education afterwards. I could even spring for lunch.

Robert, you are welcome anytime. My offer to train you or if needed do your dovetail work stands. I’m happy to help.

My shop is currently a disaster in need of a total overhaul, not something to be accomplished in a day or few.

I am looking for a more localish person who is newer to the craft with limited income and would therefore benefit from bartering labor for instruction, tools, and lumber for a longer term commitment.
