The SCROLL SAW CLUB OF THE FOOTHILLS met this morning at Klingspors in Hickory; there were 11 folks present today.
A lengthy discussion about what each one of us would like to see our club do this year.
It was decided we should try to have demonstrations of different techniques and ways to accomplish sawing various things. Suggestions included,
1. Intarsia
2. Marquetry,
3. Demo of the new Pegas saw
4. Club project as a community service. There were suggestions for this, as follows,
a. Make toys for little people
b. Make an ornament to send to troops
c. Have a scroll sawing demo in the store on Saturdays, somewhat in the fashion of Carolina Scrollers
5. Talk with Klingspors about the possibilities of a group buy on Pegas and Olson scroll saw blades.
6. Next meeting will be on February 1, 2020, Klingspors Woodworking Shop, Hickory NC
