I decided I needed to spend some time making something to keep up with all of you. I made these this afternoon. The picture is a little fuzzy for some reason. I turned these watch cases out of walnut.

Gary, those pocket watches turned out very nice.:icon_thum What size clock insert do you use for those? Are there kits available that include the chain and hardware?

As DL noted, could you tell us more about the "kits" you use????

Gary, those are some really sharp watches! I have been thinking about trying one of those. Guess how I have to try one out and see what I can do with it! Great job on them!! :eusa_clap

I have gotten the kits from Penn State and Klockit.com. They are 1- 7/16" inserts. I like the kits from klcokit a little better. They have a threaded coupler that is a little smaller. IF you have never been to Klockit before I would recommend them for a variety of clock making supplies and other inserts(weather, picture frame, etc.

Oh before I forget I used the hut friction polish. I may get bold enought to try a CA finish sometime.
