The screw in the arbor holding the blade of my new Porter Cable 6-1/2" battery circular saw is so tight that I cannot loosen it. Sure, I can force it, but if I strip the Allen head or break the screw, it's my problem. Should I take it back to Lowe's and let them try? The screw is a reverse thread, isn't it?

Right. It's a Porter Cable PC18CSL. My wife is going to take it by the service center on Capital Boulevard to let them break it.

I'll know for sure in a little while when my wife gets back home with it. The guys at the service center sort of laughed when she said I couldn't get the bolt loose. The counter guy was unable to get it loose, and one of the guys from the back had to come out and do it. It took a lot of work for them to loosen it.
