A co-worker of mine has 4 good sized trees he believes to be Red Oak. They range from 2 1/2 feet in diameter to over 3 feet (at the base). One appears to have 20 feet of viable saw log and the others are at least 30 feet.
They will have to be climbed and roped down by a tree company, but he would like to see some good come of the lumber as well as possibly offset the high cost of the removal.
If anyone is interested in milling the timber, I can put you in touch with him.
Thanks,
David
