I seem to recall that a restoration of this (or similar) planer was posted here recently, but I can't recall who posted that. My recollection was that overall they were reasonably happy with the end result. I have no idea how much 'restoration' this particular piece would require - although clearly is has some 'surface' rust.
Likely a robust alternative to a lunchbox planer.
