RDU CL - Sears Planer - $100 (chapel hill)

not mine, and not endorsing, ....
BUT I have a Foley Belsaw planer that appears identical (I forget my model number). This machine has good bones, and is a beast. Molding knives can be mounted (on mine) but so far I have only used it as a planer. Dust collection is non-existent, but with a 3HP 220 V motor and substantial mass, this is a machine that will likely outlast all of us.

Although I can't speak to the condition of this one, I would expect that a bit of TLC would land someone a decent planer (limited by 12" cutter width). Insert cutting heads are available for my machine, but cost a lot.

This Sears Planer is probably from the 50's. Some time ago I had the blades sharpened and are still so. It is not easy to use in terms of feeding the boards in and I never got use to it. Perhaps you can do better.
