Many one-star reviews, but the reviews are all over the map.
It appears that the first run of these Chinese made saws had very poor quality control, but ? Delta has addressed these and the newer ones appear to be better.
Anyone here have experience with this bandsaw?

I have a much older, 1981, version of the same saw.

The saw listed on craigslist probably needs some work to equal the older US-made saws. I think someone on this group added plywood to the base to help stiffen it and weight to the bottom--which from memory made a noticeable improvement.

With that said, $200 would probably be a better price as the older and better made saws go for $100-300. Personally, I would wait for an older a saw.

ooo yea I didn't realize that Delta had made their cast iron saws overseas. I have a USA made one from '92 which works great and which I'd gladly pay $200 for.

The manufacturer date is 2008. Serial number is 310837
Don't know if this helps or means anything to anyone here. I am interested in the saw, but want to know more about it.​
