[question] How to apply finish to board edges?

Hey Folks!

I am building a desk for my son and have applied finish to the sides of the shelf supports. All good.

However, I'm in a pickle as to how to support more than one or two of these boards in order to apply finish the edges. I know that I could build a jig with nails and support one or two at a time. But, do y'all have any suggestions on doing multiple pieces at a time?

Don't know if it's practical in your situation but I have drying racks like this in my finish room.
