I need to get a portable table saw for a project and would like advice from anyone with experience with these tools. It seems the Bosch (4000) and the Ridgid (2410) come out as the top two on most reviews. I have decided on the Ridged as I have to plug it in with extension cords and some reviews have had problems with the Bosch motor when they have done this.

Any suggestions or experiences will be appreciated.

MIke,

My first TS was the Ridgid (2410). It was a great little saw!

When I was shopping for it, I also looked at the Dewalt jobsite saw, but the Ridgid won out because of the slick rollaround cart and a great fence.:icon_thum Also the rip capacity was great for a portable saw like these. It did fine with plywood and 4/4 red oak but anything thicker it did struggle a little. It is also pretty stable when set up on the cart.

When I bought mine I looked for sales and used some HD gift cards to get it down to about $325.:wsmile:

The only reason I sold it was to move up to a hybrid.
