Last year for the first time ever we had held a silent auction at our annual picnic. It went so well we plan to do it again. That said, we did learn some important lessons and plan to implement them this year to make it even more successful. The silent auction will feature carefully curated items and will be separate from the raffle and the door prizes. The items in the auction will be on display at the picnic along with bid sheets. Note that to take part in the auction, one must be present or, have a representative present to a) pay for and b) take delivery of the item.
