Have you ever wanted to present better photos of your projects? Have you ever thought of videoing part of your process in a project? If you have we would like to know your interest in taking part with a workshop to get started and improve your photo and video skills.
Jim Perkins producer of our promo video has volunteered to put on this workshop to help get you started. This workshop will be designed to help you use what you have to set up proper composition, use of lighting, sound, and basic editing. So if you have a camera rig that you haven’t used a lot or a smart phone, or just want to improve your skills then this workshop could be for you.
This post is to simply gauge the level of interest and we haven’t set a date yet, early fall after the Extravaganza more than likely. The location will be Bill Clemmons shop in Liberty NC. The workshop size will be 10 people. Lunch will be pizza from a local pizza joint. Cost will be a $30.00 donation to the scholarship fund.
So, if you have an interest in this workshop we would love to have you come out. Please post here!

Would this include working with an iPhone? I don’t have a separate camera (which would be a discussion as well about whether I should), so if it would cover the use of lighting and handheld devices as the device to take the picture, please count me in as long as it happens after October 12 (we get back from vacation then).

Yes, as mentioned in my statement smart phone.

This workshop was held yesterday (Nov. 8). Here is a link to an album with the photos I took. Hopefully, some of the others will add their photos here as well.

Since this was a workshop on how to take quality photos, let me add this caveat: Judge not the quality of my photos, but rather the content of their characters! ;)
