I recently tried to make a slimline pencil but am having trouble with it. It is sticking and will not advance the lead. Is it an alignment problem. I think I put It together correctly. I have never hadany problems with the pens. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Gary, Sometimes the lead gets fouled up in the prongs at the tip of the pencil and will cause it to jam. I normally pull the eraser end off, pull out the excess lead, then unscrew the tip to get to the prongs. Check the prongs and if needed use a needle or pin to push any lead back into the chamber. This normally will do the trick unless the pencil was assembled incorrectly.
