Cary Pawn on West Chatham Street has a DeWalt 735 for $299. National Pawn on Capital Blvd has a JB vacuum pump for $49.99. If you are even thinking about getting into vacuum bagging, this is a deal. Prices don't include sales tax, nor are they etched in stone.

I've found a lot of great deals at pawn shops. Prices are usually negotiable and you get to take all the time in the world to check out the tool to make sure it "feels" right to you.

I haven't had much luck with pawn shops. Seems like most of the ones I've been in are trying to sell old worn out junk for a few dollars more then you can buy new.

$120 for a old worn out Sears scroll saw when Sears had the same model on sale for $99

Yeah you should have. Today that's an easy $2000.00 and up depending on model and accessories.
