One man's trash is generally another man's trash, contrary to what you thought.

However,

I have a rather large assortment of walnut off-cuts and shorts and walnut firewood. I also have a friend who heats with a wood stove.

If you're close by Wilton (halfway between Creedmoor and Franklinton, just off NC 96) and would like some walnut giblets for small spindle turning or inlay accents or (dare I?) a cremation urn for your shop critter...

PM me for a good time and a specific address. I'm home most days except when I burn off the beer and burgers between noon and two.

It's amazing how much wood I have been able to use that was "scrap". I have been making some very small 3D ornaments - 1x1x2. I had a redheart pen blank that was 1" square that made a beautiful ornament. (Yeah, I know - I'll get around to taking pictures soon)
