For October show us pics of furniture you've made. This can be from a foot stool to a full size dresser!

This contest will end October 29. Voting will run October 30-31.

Rules:
- Must be created within the last 60 months. That's 5 years
- One submission per creator/artist per category (month). Pick one piece. If you have a set and want to show how it matches okay but you are only entering one piece. Hi-light that one piece.
- Members vote for winners so your submittal 'marketing' post should reflect quality. Limited to 3 photos and 500 words. One post per submittal.
- Any Q&A regarding a submittal should be handled by separate post, or DM/PM. Expect questions to be deleted. Separate posts do not clutter the contest thread, avoids vote biasing, and everyone can share How's It Made (Resources forum content).
- Each creator can win a contest no more than once every six months.
- In case of a tie, a judge panel will make the selection. Judges' decision is final. Judges will remain anonymous.
- Each monthly contest will have two winners, novice and experienced/journeyman/veteran/pro. Novice is defined as <3 years woodworking, cumulative. "Experienced" is all others. Submitters must indicate if they are novice; honor system applies. If you don't declare, you're an experienced woodworker.

Knee Hole Bureau. Plans were from Al Breed. He even provided some 20 pictures of the museum antique piece from which the drawings were taken.
The wood is mahogany. It took a little over 300 hours to build with a lot of that time being taken up by the carving work. I did the shell carving numerous
times because I was not happy with the quality. I used the rejects as box tops that i gave away as Christmas presents.

My daughter challenged me with a picture of a West Elm entry table which was no longer available. I guessed at dimensions, slighty modified for my equipment capabilities. Built in three assemblies shaped on a bandsaw and glued together. Made from oak and ash harvested from the family farm in Michigan many years ago by my father. Finished with a Zar stain and poly wipe on finish

Hallway cabinet - hides a 25 x 25 air return vent that was in plain sight in the main hallway.
The center section is open on the bottom and has louvered vertical slats for airflow. Combined open area is greater than the vent for unrestricted flow.
Center swings open to change the air filter. Book storage on the sides. Floating top. Sapele, maple and painted BB ply doors.
