My name is ward green and I recently registered with the website.
I am very new to wood working but it is an art I have respected for many years. I did not have much space to do wood working before my wife and I moved a few months ago. So I am embracing my creativity and the challenge to build things with my own hands. I have not built many things, in fact only three pieces in the past three years: a dowel constructed dinning room table, a shooting range/ utility table, and most recently a .30 .30 ammo box/ safe. The later has been the most challenging but I believe I'll get better with time. I posted a few pictures on a reply to Clay's recent post if anyone is curious.
I hope to learn a lot from the website and be inspired to create more wooden features by the members I interact with. I have a few projects I (and partly my wife) would like to work on: an end-grain chopping block/ kitchen island and at some point a live-edge dinning room table. If you or anyone you know can share any pointers on these projects, I welcome all comments or messages. Thanks!
