1. The tallest champion tree in NC: Eastern white pine, 180 feet tall in Jackson county.

2. Yellow poplar, 146' tall, circumference 260", Bertie county.

3. Fraser fir, 100' tall, Jackson county.

Looks like we have three in Stokes County.

The picture of the Table Mountain pine sure doesn't look like a pine. I found another picture by the Blue Ridge Parkway of the same species and it looks like a pine.
