Mystery turn knob

Found this in the floor in the corner where my bandsaw, Disc sander and Jet jointer are located.

It is pretty small and the outside is etched, indicating it is a turn knob. I can't find any that appear to be missing from the bandsaw, it has several around the blade guides. (I checked above and below the table).

Any idea where it may have escaped from?

Check the depth stop on your drill press.
Mike, That would make sense because I was using the drill. I went out and checked and couldn't find anyplace it might fit.

Looks like one of knobs used by Rockler hold downs using their t-track.

(When fall on the floor in my shop, they always seem to bounce around to find a hiding place!)

It is a knurled locking nut for some adjustment. I’ve seen that exact nut on drill press depth stops, but your press is like my Grizzly and doesn’t have a stop. So, I would look for something else that has an adjustment that has to be set often and needs a temporary locking nut.

I have a plastic cup in my shop where I keep all the stray items I find on the floor. I am hoping that eventually I will find where they go!
