I’m an owner of undeveloped property in Chatham County and have an interest in having some large oak and butternut(?) trees > 3ft. dbh milled. How does one recommend that be arranged?
In my opinion, you can do no better than Randall Williams of Fireside Farm in Efland: Sawmill — Fireside Farm. He has a portable hydraulic mill that can handle large trunks and a track loader to maneuver them. I just had him mill up three mammoth oaks for me, and he did a beautiful job at a very fair price.
