LED strip lights for bowl turning.

I saw a video where a led strip light was attached to the banjo to light the inside of the bowl, so I thought I'd try it.

I bought a 12 volt led strip light and power supply from LED Supply. The strip lights can be cut to size.

I cut mine to about 12 inches. The strips come with an adhesive strip on the back. I stuck the strip to a piece of sheet metal. Then I epoxied magnets to the sheet metal . I tried it without epoxy, but my magnets stayed on the banjo.

Any lights I used before were in the way or would cast shadows.

I just received a cheap sewing machine light for that purpose, but at my age really could use your suggestions-brilliant, THANKS!

I've got this one. It's about 1" long and has two power LEDs. Cindy Drozda sells them.

That is a REALLY good tip - I like the idea of Cindy's version- but putting the longer strip on magnets so you could remove it too would be even better!
