Finished this Thanksgiving day with the anticipation I would be delivering it soon.

The base is a mallee burl with the bottom sanded to 220 grit, the top is natural. I sprayed all of it with satin lacquer which turned out crappy and I ran out of it. I (re)sanded the bottom with 320 and sprayed it all with gloss lacquer. I wanted a wet look for the base top side. I'd give it an 89-92 on personal-satisfaction-with-the-finish factor.

Now to get it packaged without damaging the finish. I'll separate the base and tower and try to shield the magnets holding the tower to the base from interfering with electronics. These are the strongest magnets I've used for their size. Not being easy so far.
