Has anyone seen the pictures of the "Largest oak slab 200 years old, that you will ever see" ad on facebook?
It is about 4" thick x 58" wide x 14' long and 218 bf.
I have seen the actual slab and it is more than I expected.
This slab is perfect for a conference table without the live edges.
The slab is for sale.

Doubt its kiln dried. that comes to $3225 LOL.....Lots of guys thinking theyre gonna strike gold with a portable bandsaw mill. People are buying up soaking wet lumber apparently. There is a guy up in Floyd Va selling similar , kiln dried slabs for $800! thats actually a steal.

No its not kiln dried. He has plans to kiln dry. The saw broke and I guess he is waiting to kiln dry the whole log.
My wife's son had some trees removed from his yard in Charlotte and is thinking of having one tree sawed into lumber and having someone to make a piece of furniture.
Urban Lumber in Pineville, says about $3000.00 to saw into lumber and kiln dry and from $2 to 12,000 for the furniture.
His log is 42" in diameter. The cost is way beyond me. I have no desire for live edge slabs, lumber or furniture.
