Idle Time during Self Isolation

Boy did I screw up last night. During the television wasteland that is a Wednesday night primetime, I turned off the cable box and turned on the computer. Then I went to Youtube and searched for Japanese woodworking and came up with this:

DO NOT follow the link unless you have at least 15 minutes to hours of self isolation that you are trying to fill.

Grandpa Amu has quite a few videos. This one is just a sample. For what he does with minimal tools makes me question my abilities with all of my vintage and modern saws, chisels, routers, etc.

Here's another one: A Luban "seat". I actually bought one and it was shipped from China so I got to see it and hold it right here. Pretty neat and accurate chisel work from a single piece of wood.

Grandpa Amu is Chinese. You can tell because he pushes his Japanese hand plane .

I can't do this kind of work because I have too many tools.
