[FONT=&amp]After I won the gift certificate at the picnic from Bell Forest I ordered a bundle of cherry. The cherry arrived via UPS on Friday from the upper peninsula of Michigan. The boards are thirteen sixteenths thick and vary in width from a four inch wide (narrowest) to six inch wide (widest) with most being in the five to five and a quarter inch wide. The boards were also mostly forty-six to forty-eight inches long with one short one being approximately thirty-five inches long. One of the boards has a bit of wind in it but the others, at least initially, are pretty flat and straight. They will all need to see the jointer and planer before being used.

Crealbilly, the gift certificate was for $100 and they had a special for $95 including shipping. So that's what I paid. Still have $5 on the card.

Looks to be about 8 Board feet? Is that right? for $95? Thats alot of money for all that sapwood.

The special was advertised as 10 board feet. Sure, it was a little expensive since I mostly work with borg lumber but it was also a win-win-win situation. NCWW got $50 support from me in the form of raffle sales, I got a $100 gift card, and one of our supporters made a profit on some lumber and advertising. We all won.

I think so also Bowman. There is considerable sapwood, but since I don't have a project to be satisfied, I am happy with what I got. Besides, I think it is going to be some beautiful contrast when it's finished and pretty.
