The eldest has a b'day coming up so I knocked out a quickie little clock for her to go along with another item she has asked for.
It's Walnut with sapwood and a bark inclusion on the top of the curve, and a little natural edge on the base. The front is a laminated piece of spalted Oak I've been trying to find a use for.
Finish is shellac with a few coats of rattle can lacquer.
A fun and easy project that only takes a couple of hours, not counting waiting for the finish to dry for recoating.

Nice work Ken. :eusa_clap:eusa_clap:eusa_clap I made one similar to that, but with no base. Brought it home and the Mrs. said it looked like a tombstone with a clock in it and that the recipient might not appreciate it. So back to the shop I went. :gar-La; Yours looks wonderful, I'm sure she'll love it. :icon_thum

Lucky girl (Daddy's girl, huh?).

I like how you added some thought to the construction and composition for her. Nice touch.
