I will begin with a little backstory. A few years ago I bought a large spalted sycamore board from Scott Smith.
it was beautiful and I had to have it. I was afraid to ruin it, it sat in my shop ever since. A very nice guy, Bill Clemmons, offered to teach and help me with this. It has taken a few weeks but it is done! Look at that top!
my next task will be some side tables to match. In the spring, it’s cold out there!

I saw that wood when you bought it and it is finally turned into a great project thanks to Bill's help. You really have done a great job turning that into something unforgettable. Thanks to you and Bill for waiting for the right project for that special wood. You done good.

Love the figure in the wood and what a great job!

I like the way you did the edges, gives it a nice neoclassical look.

Nicely done Berta! Spalted wood if always an interesting experiment to work with.

A bit different than scroll sawing but you have a superb teacher in Bill.

In the spring, it’s cold out there!

Warren and Massillon, Ohio are also about 31 degrees to match us! :wsmile:
