Hey Joe, that's a fine looking piece of furniture. What is the top made out of, looks like the base is RO?

Yep, the body is red oak with BLO and the top is soft maple. All finished with General poly thinned to wipe-on. My daughter will be able to use it as a cutting board next month.

I was wanting to build something like that for LOML, but I want to incorporate a extension to the top that can be lowered when not needed.
