Hall proximity sensor (RPM readout)

Quite a wile back someone purchased a hall prox switch and mounted it on their drill press.


I searched a few differnet ways and was unable to find the thread...

I purchased one on fleabay - https://www.ebay.com/p/4-Digital-Re...-Sensor-NPN/1584465414?_trksid=p2047675.l2644

Unfortunately the "chinglish" instructions are worthless and four e-mails for "Where do you apply the voltage" have yielded even more pictures of wiring diagrams that I am guessing even if I did read Chinese would leave me with less than a clue!
