Grizzly Jointer Planers

I was looking over the Grizzlies and found they have 2 very similar ones

The Polar Bear has 2 extra image views and it looks like they have modified how the fence is attached so there isnt long post sticking out the back. The depth difference or how far it sticks out from the wall is huge, 41 1/3" vs 24"

Anyone in the Raleigh area have a Polar Bear Version I can check out? It's between the Jet and the Grizzly now for me. Jet was leading because of the smaller footprint but I think the Polar bear has jumped in the lead, especially with the price difference.

Haven't seen the Grizzly I have the Jet as well. You maybe able to get the price a little closer on the Jet if Jet runs a promotion. I got mine from the guys at toolnut and the spiral head was close to the same price.

I see the grizzly line has a 5hp motor where the jet is a 3. I have almost bogged mine down but I was taking off more than I should have and I mean A LOT more I didn't realize the board was that uneven:swoon:

I've been watching Jet for about 4-5 months now. During their 3000 hr promotion, the spiral version never went on sale. Same with their promotion before that one. :nah:
