If there's one thing I've learned from woodturning, it's this: Never reveal what you're making until it's done!

Bee-yoo-tiful. I just got a 12 1/2 recently although I haven't had time to hardly touch it. I blame Walt Q for my addiction problems.

I love scraping a piece of wood that accepts scraping well. Sometimes I find wood that is brash or crumbly that resists scraping. I use both a scraping plane and hand held scrapers on some figured wood but almost never to remove glue squeeze out. I should be doing that as well. You learn something everyday...;-)

Yep, it's fun to use the cabinet scraper. Actually I started out just using my card scraper to knock off the glue squeeze-out, then I figured I'd play around a bit... I just put a bur on the side of the card scraper and stuck it in the No 12. It actually worked out great on some knotty & figured areas in some other panels I had. MAN that was fun!!!

It's been in pieces on my shelf, waiting for me to clean it up and put it back together. The little shop flood I had yesterday gave me time to do that - I'm too nervous to try to cut any precision joinery right now while the shop is so wet.

Maybe tomorrow I can get back to WOODworking...
