Anyone have a recommended source for glass in Charlotte area? I'm building upper cabs with glass panels.

Lowes is pretty cheap and will cut to size. I use them for 3/32" cabinet panels. Otherwise Binswanger on North Graham is a great source for all glass of all types.

I'd call one or more of a gazillion glass shops in Charlotte.

You probably want tempered glass for safety, but not too thick and heavy?

How many glass panels are needed? Same size?

I like Bendheim glass. Lots of selections and also not cheap, but it'll make your cabinets unique as opposed to a window pane.

For regular upper cabinet doors I just use single strength glass from Lower or HD. It's easy to cut yourself but they will cut it for you. If you want something special like beveled glass then you will need to go to a glass purveyor. I suspect it will be much more expensive but I haven't bought any in a long time.
Not related to cabinet doors but my wife has collected quite a few tempered glass table tops from Good Will.

You may also consider laminated safety glass. It can be readily cut to size and there is no wait as there is on tempered.
