Just kidding. This is behind the cash register in the Duluth Trading Company's flagship store in Mt. Horeb, Wisconsin. I was in there last week and snapped a shot of it. It was purchased by the CEO of the company. The case was made by Christian Becksvoort.
dang thats nice. I need to redo how I store my handtools, thats a pretty efficient setup. I have everything in plane socks tho to prevent rust because they live in my garage.
With the title of the post, and the way you opened it, I almost choked. Too bad he's only using it as a display, but I can't think of too many displays that would top it.
One of my favorite furniture makers, Christian Becksvoort. Over the years there have been many shots of his shop in FWW magazine. That cabinet is basically a minature replica of the one in his shop. Very nice! Thanks for posting.
Becksvoort is one of my favorites, too. I've done plans for a number of his projects and always found him very pleasant to work with. Unfortunately I didn't know that case was made by him when I was in the store. Next time I go down there I will make sure to ask for a closer look.
