I had been reading Peter Galbert's blog about windsor chairs. http://www.chairnotes.blogspot.com/ There are a lot of good tips and general chairmaking information contained within. Just recently I stopped in to see what all was new and saw a new contraption for turning chair parts. Maybe there is someone out there who's seen a tool like this before but I haven't and thought I would share it with you. I did search galbert caliper on the ncww website but nothing came up so I hope this isn't a duplicate post. I haven't used one but I do have a birthday coming up. Has anyone used a caliper like this before, are there other designs out there, better, worse?
Thanks in advance.

They have come in handy to measure the wall thickness of turnings, although they haven't helped me to stop blowing through the bottom of a bowl. And I have also found them helpful in scaling a project to a larger or smaller size.
