First Hollow Forms UPDATED PICS

Other than some practice a while back, this is the "real" first hollow form that I've done. Not near done, but figured I'd better stop for the night since it hadn't blown up or flown from the lathe. Hopefully I can turn this into something.

This was all made with the hollowing rig my neighbor made me modeled after a those on the market. Worked like a champ!:icon_thum Can't wait to see if I can finish it off!

It looks like you may have done this before! Can we see a picture of your hollowing rig? I'm just setting up a lathe so I like to see what everyone else is doing.

It was a close call (from getting off the lathe in one piece), but it did! Here are a few pics from the work in action, to the final form. It is flowering cherry from a chunk that PeteM gave me that came from a tree in his yard. It's beautiful stuff IMHO. I decided to finish it with Walnut oil.

I really like your Hollowing Rig, would love to get one, but the price is high for me. Wish I new how to make one, or could trade/barter for one.
