First Attempt

Ok,

Yes, after a lot of bowls and vases, I had thought about trying a pen or pencil set. I admit to that.

After seeing some of Cathy's work at the get together out at the lake, I knew I had to get off the fence and try it. Here's a post of that first effort, Walnut with Satin Gold hardware. Cathy told me it would be very easy and I have to say, she was right.

Now all I need do is figure if I go back to bowls and vases, or stay with pen and pencil sets. Actually, no real decision. I'll stay with the bowls and vases, and just make more time for pens.

Cathy, thanks for the pointers and encouragement to try this.

Nice pen. It really seems like pen turning is almost an industry unto itself.

I like that, I am not a huge fan of gold pen kits but the Satin Gold combined with the Walnut, sure is a sharp looking pen.
